Listen now Designed with Purpose October 26, 2026 · 00:25:14

Episode overview

How did God purposefully design humanity to express His life through a physical body? Episode Four follows Genesis from the declaration of image and likeness to the formation of the body and the gift of the breath of life.

The episode considers the whole person before God—spirit, soul, and body—and the relationship between inward life and outward expression. It distinguishes the physical brain from the governing mind within the teaching framework and connects humanity’s formation to God’s eternal purpose.

Core declarationThe image governing inwardly is intended to find expression through the whole person.

In this episode

  • How Genesis 2:7 presents formation, breath, and the living being
  • The body as a dwelling for embodied life
  • How the teaching relates inward disposition to bodily expression

Designed for Purpose

Communion, identity and direction, freedom and dominion.
Listen now Designed for Purpose November 2, 2026 · 00:21:42

Episode overview

What was humanity’s design intended to accomplish? Episode Five connects the whole person’s design with three related purposes: connection and communion with God, identity and direction from Him, and freedom to exercise responsibility within His creation.

The living-temple analogy illustrates movement from inward communion to outward expression. Scripture directs us toward dependence upon God, understanding what He gives through His Spirit, and carrying responsibility in agreement with His character. God’s work in Christ brings this calling into the life of His children.

Core declarationThe image defining identity governs the expression of the life.

In this episode

  • How communion with God informs an ordinary response
  • The living-temple analogy and the whole person before God
  • Why identity and direction begin with the Creator
  • How God’s Spirit enables understanding of His revealed gifts
  • Why dominion requires faithful care and accountability
  • How renewal in Christ serves God’s continuing purpose for humanity

Episode Six

Operating in God’s Eternal Purpose

God’s character expressed through words, relationships, and responsibility.

Episode overview

What does God’s purpose look like in action? Episode Six enters three Genesis scenes: Adam naming the animals God has made, the man and woman becoming one flesh, and humanity receiving responsibility to cultivate and care for creation.

The narrative follows the manifestation progression: Image → Identity → Reality → Functionality → Life Manifestation. The governing image informs identity; identity shapes how humanity understands its world and calling; that understanding directs action; and inward character becomes visible through embodied conduct.

Practical examples carry the progression into everyday speech, cooperation, and care. The episode returns to Season One’s opening question, Can You Show Me God?, with a developed answer.

Core declarationGod’s character becomes visible through humanity’s words, relationships, and faithful exercise of responsibility.

In this episode

  • How Adam exercises entrusted discernment through naming
  • Why human speech matters within God’s purpose
  • How the one-flesh union can reflect fellowship, love, and unity
  • How cultivation and a shared commission express responsible care
  • The movement from image and identity to visible life manifestation
  • How ordinary conversations and assignments can reveal God’s character

The Mystery Through the Ages

Season Two · Episode One

Before the Foundation of the World

God’s purpose preceded creation, sin, and redemption.

Episode overview

Season One examined creation’s purpose and humanity’s design for expressing God’s character. Season Two begins by asking where Scripture locates the intention behind that calling. Ephesians places God’s choosing in Christ before the foundation of the world; Second Timothy connects salvation and a holy calling with purpose and grace given in Christ before the world began.

This opening episode establishes the eternal foundation: God’s purpose preceded creation, sin, and redemption. Salvation serves that prior intention, bringing people into the relationship and calling God gives through His Son. The teaching considers how this perspective directs our understanding of identity, daily responsibility, and life manifestation.

Core declarationGod’s purpose preceded creation, sin, and redemption. Salvation serves His eternal intention in Christ.

In this episode

  • What Ephesians means by God’s choosing in Christ before the world’s foundation
  • How holiness, love, and adoption describe the intended relationship
  • How salvation and calling serve God’s own purpose and grace
  • Why the need for redemption does not define the origin of God’s purpose
  • How the eternal foundation gives direction to the manifestation framework
  • How present decisions and responsibilities can be understood within God’s purpose

Why Scripture Calls God’s Eternal Purpose a Mystery

A truth once hidden, now revealed by the Spirit.

Episode overview

When Scripture speaks of a mystery, it does not describe a puzzle God intends to keep unknowable. It describes divine truth that existed in God’s eternal counsel, remained concealed from human understanding, and was revealed according to His appointed time.

This episode follows the movement from hidden purpose to spiritual revelation. Human intelligence cannot independently discover what is in the mind of God; the Spirit makes God’s thoughts known. Revelation therefore calls for more than information—it invites the obedience of faith and participation in what God has unveiled in Christ.

Core declarationA biblical mystery is a divine truth once concealed, but now revealed according to God’s appointed time.

In this episode

  • Why biblical mystery does not mean an unknowable secret
  • How the mystery moves from God’s hidden counsel to revelation and faith
  • Why self-governing human wisdom cannot discover God’s eternal purpose
  • How the Spirit searches and reveals the deep things of God
  • What it means for the children of God to possess the mind of Christ
  • Why the purpose of revelation is participation and visible expression

Key Scriptures

Romans 16:25–26 · 1 Corinthians 2:6–16 · Ephesians 3:3–5 · Colossians 1:26–27 · 1 Corinthians 6:17 · Galatians 4:4, 6

Reflection questionAm I approaching Scripture merely to confirm what I already believe, or am I allowing the Spirit to reveal God’s purpose and bring my life into agreement with it?

Shadows, Patterns, and Promises

Many signs pointing toward one unfolding purpose.

Episode overview

Long before the mystery was plainly declared, God was already telling the story. The promised Seed, covenants, sacrifices, priesthood, sanctuary, kingship, prophets, and sacred feasts each carried genuine light while pointing beyond themselves to a greater reality.

A shadow has meaning because a substance produces it. This episode honors the earlier patterns without mistaking them for the destination. Across generations, God was not presenting unrelated religious systems; He was progressively unveiling one eternal purpose centered in His Son.

Core declarationThe shadows were never the destination. They were signs pointing toward the reality to come.

In this episode

  • Why hidden truth was nevertheless present through promises and patterns
  • How the promised Seed carried God’s answer into human history
  • How sacrifice anticipated the Lamb of God
  • How priesthood and sanctuary anticipated access and divine indwelling
  • How kings and prophets created expectation for God’s Son and inward renewal
  • How the sacred feasts anticipated redemption, resurrection, the Spirit, and God dwelling with His people

Key Scriptures

Genesis 3:15 · Genesis 12:1–3 · Genesis 22:8, 13–14 · Exodus 12:1–13 · Romans 15:4 · Galatians 3:16 · Hebrews 10:1 · Ezekiel 36:26–27 · John 1:29

Season Two · Episode Four

The Mystery Revealed in Christ

The invisible God and His purpose made visible in the Son.

Episode overview

The prophets spoke in fragments, the Law supplied shadows, and the promises created expectation. Then Jesus Christ entered the world, and the mystery took visible form. He did not merely bring more information about God; He revealed the invisible Father personally and visibly within an authentic human life.

Jesus also reveals what humanity was created to express. The Son did not function as an independent source: His identity, words, works, and purpose expressed His union with the Father. In Him, God’s eternal purpose was not only explained—it was embodied.

Core declarationJesus Christ is both the image of the invisible God and the revelation of humanity living from God as its Source.

In this episode

  • How the Word made flesh brought the mystery into visible human expression
  • Why Christ is called the image of the invisible God
  • How Jesus’ character, words, and works revealed the Father
  • Why Christ must not be reduced to an external moral example
  • How the Son reveals humanity functioning in complete dependence upon God
  • Why every earlier pattern finds its meaning and fulfillment in Christ

Key Scriptures

John 1:1, 14, 18 · John 5:19 · John 14:9–10 · Colossians 1:15 · Colossians 2:9–10 · Hebrews 1:3

Reflection questionWhen I look at Jesus, do I see only an example to imitate—or the revelation of God as my Source and the life humanity was created to express?

Season Two · Episode Five

Christ in You, the Hope of Glory

The mystery moves from revelation to indwelling reality.

Episode overview

Season Two culminates in Paul’s astonishing declaration: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” The mystery is not merely that God came near to humanity, nor merely that Christ provides an external example. Through His Son and by the Spirit, God now dwells within His children.

This indwelling does not mean that human beings become God. It means that God becomes the Source of the new life within those born of Him. The child of God remains personally distinct but no longer lives as an independent source of identity, life, purpose, or power. The hope of glory rests in Christ within becoming visible through lives yielded to His government.

Core declarationThe mystery is not merely that God came to humanity. The mystery is that God now lives in humanity through His Son.

In this episode

  • What Paul means by “Christ in you, the hope of glory”
  • How the new covenant moves beyond external instruction to indwelling life
  • Why the child of God does not function as an independent source
  • How union with Christ fulfills the promise of inward renewal and divine indwelling
  • Why dependence upon Christ is the heart of the reGENEd life
  • How personal indwelling forms one body, one family, and one dwelling place for God

Key Scriptures

Colossians 1:26–27 · John 6:53 · John 14:17, 20 · John 15:5 · Ezekiel 36:26–27 · Jeremiah 31:33 · 1 Corinthians 6:17 · Ephesians 3:14–19 · 2 Peter 1:4

Reflection questionAm I trying to produce a life for God, or am I learning to live from the indwelling Christ—apart from whom I can do nothing?

Season Two conclusion: The mystery has moved from God’s heart before creation, through promise and history, into Christ—and through the Spirit, into God’s children. Season Three will examine the Christ who dwells within and the fullness of God revealed in Him.
